Wrexham mentality pleases Parkinson in Preston win
Phil Parkinson highlighted the importance of backing up the victory over Sheffield United as Wrexham beat Preston North End to earn successive league wins for the first time this season. Goals from Nathan Broadhead and Ollie Rathbone either side of half time - with Alfie Devine netting late on for the Lilywhites - ensured the Red Dragons claimed three points to end 2025 in 11th place, four points adrift of the play-off spots.

Craig and McCann recognised in New Year Honours
Former Celtic full-back Jim Craig and the club's previous owner Fergus McCann have been recognised in the New Year Honours. Craig was one of the Lisbon Lions who became the first British team to win the European Cup when Celtic beat Inter Milan in the Portuguese capital in 1967 and has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
