Michigan football's Wink Martindale led defense is expected to be one of the best in the nation this season now that Martindale has settled into his defensive coordinator role and several key players are coming back. The Wolverines are set to take on New Mexico in their season opener a little less than three weeks away with the usual camp hype and fluff coming out of 'Fort Schembechler' in Ann Arbor. On Thursday, a Wolverines defender was named the fastest in a specific category by a former USA Today writer and NFL draft scout on X who called him one of his favorite defensive players in the draft.
