Ejiofor's last-second jumper lifts St. John's past Providence 72-70
Zuby Ejiofor led St. John's with 19 points, including the game-winning jump shot with one second left, and the Red Storm knocked off Providence 72-70 on Friday night. Ejiofor also contributed 10 rebounds for the Red Storm (10-2, 2-0 Big East Conference). Deivon Smith scored 17 points, going 8 of 15 from the field.

No. 19 Bearcats handle No. 22 Flyers, 66-59
The No. 19 Cincinnati Bearcats faced the No. 22 Dayton Flyers at Heritage Bank Arena in Downtown Cincinnati for a neutral site game for the second season in a row. Last season, Dayton beat Cincinnati 82-68 at the same arena, will Cincinnati get their lick back? It was clear early on that the Bearcats quickness and length were a problem for the Flyers as Dillon Mitchell and Dan Skillings were monsters on the glass in the early segment leading to Skillings scoring six early points.

Frazier's 16 points spark UTEP to a 67-61 win over Jackson State
Otis Frazier III had 16 points in UTEP's 67-61 victory over Jackson State on Friday. Frazier shot 5 for 11 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 5 of 8 from the free-throw line for the Miners (8-3). Kevin Kalu scored 12 points and added 12 rebounds.

Kiki Rice scored 20 points and No. UCLA raced out to a big lead on the way to a 70-41 win over Creighton on Friday night in the Invisalign Bay Area Women's Classic, winning without best player Lauren Betts. Angela Dugalic added 13 points and 14 rebounds for her second double-double for the Bruins (12-0, 1-0 Big Ten), whose stingy defense made Creighton's top shooters uncomfortable.
