Noah Dobson and Josh Anderson each scored twice and the Montreal Canadiens snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night in a showdown between slumping teams. Lane Hutson also scored, Ivan Demidov and Mike Matheson each had two assists, and Jakub Dobes made 24 saves for his first victory since Oct. 28. Montreal won for the second time in nine games to improve to 11-7-3.

Drew Stevens' field goal caps Iowa's comeback in 20-17 win over Michigan State
Drew Stevens kicked a 44-yard field goal as time expired to give Iowa a 20-17 win over Michigan State on Saturday. The kick capped a 13-point fourth-quarter comeback for the Hawkeyes (7-4, 5-3 Big Ten), who snapped a two-game losing streak. Iowa trailed 17-7 after Michigan State quarterback Alessio Milivojevic threw two third-quarter touchdown passes to Chrishon McCray.

Pinnick, Fisher carry UC Davis to 31-27 win over Sacramento State, possible FCS playoff spot
Caden Pinnick threw for 306 yards and two touchdowns and UC Davis held on downs at its 27 in the closing seconds to win the 71st Causeway Classic 31-27 over Sacramento State on Saturday. The game was billed as a winner-take-all for a berth in the FCS playoffs with the Aggies (8-3, 6-2 Big Sky Conference), ranked 14th in the coaches' poll, holding off the rival Hornets (7-5, 5-3). The Aggies led 14-0 after one quarter on a pair of short touchdown runs by Jordan Fisher.
