Spanish basketball clubs playing Israeli teams behind closed doors because of protests

Spanish basketball teams have chosen to play their home games against Israeli opponents behind closed doors because of the threat of pro-Palestinian protests. Valencia Basket said on Tuesday it will not sell tickets for the EuroLeague game against Hapoel Tel Aviv on Wednesday. “Valencia Basket has exhausted all possible options to ensure that its season ticket holders would not have to miss tomorrow’s EuroLeague game at Roig Arena,” the club said in a statement.
